REMARKS :
#
original valve spring info is not available
#
different valve spring setups have been used in the original engines: please double check the measurements and contact Catcams in case of doubt
#
ONLY for 8mm valves with single groove (RK-8H valve keepers)
REMARKS :
#
- camshafts for use with original cam followers (35mm) and lash adjustment shim (31mm) between cam follower and cam lobe
- race cam followers can not be used in these engines
#
Distance between valve and piston should be 1.0mm at least:
-
check 5-15° after TDC on intake
-
check 5-15° before TDC on exhaust
Machine pistons if required. Wrong installation can cause severe engine damage!

WHEN USING THE STD VALVE SPRINGS, it is required to check the individual coil bind lengths.
In most engines, these camshafts will work with the original valve springs. However, the coil bind lengths of individual valve springs show differences up to 1mm, so in some engines the maximum valve lift may be critical. Moreover, different valves and valve springs setups have been used.
