RenaultSport Clio 172 and 182 owners can now benefit from a proven, road-friendly drop in power upgrade that won’t break the bank!

The new upgrade from Belgian performance valvetrain specialist Cat Cams NV features a pair of billet steel 5502438 camshafts, which incorporate a revised design to specifically enable them to be used with the standard (remapped) RenaultSport ECU.

5502438 276/268 - 240/231 - 11.25/10.25 mm

Extensive rolling road dyno testing in conjunction with an ECU reflash has shown an impressive power gain of 18 bhp at 6250 rpm, with a torque increase of 10 lb.ft @ 5250 rpm.

The peak figures produced by this RenaultSport Clio 182 were a healthy 185 bhp @ 6500 rpm, allied to a substantial 164 lb.ft of torque at 5150 rpm. (NOTE: This test 182 already featured an ECU remap, so owners of standard 172 / 182 Clio’s should benefit from an even larger power increase.)
